artificial dentition

picture: dentist Jutta Jimenez counselling artificial dentition is divided into two groups:

tight artificial dentition

Crowns and bridges belong to the tight artificial dentition catergory. Bigger tooth defects cannot be treated with a filling and have to be protected by a crown:

  • metal crown
  • metal ceramic crown
  • ceramic crown

Missing teeth can be replaced by a bridge made from metal or ceramic.

removable artifical dentition

Partial prosthesis

Are several teeth missing a removable partial prostethis can restore the chewing function. Partial prostheses are used when bridges cannot be anchored in the mouth anymore, for example because several teeth are missing one after another, or because it concerns teeth at the very end of the jaw.

The partial prosthesis can also be combined with implants. The hold of the prosthesis can be improved by doing so. The prosthesis can be anchored differently on the left teeth or implants:

  • 1. with braces
  • 2. without braces
    • attachment prosthesis
    • telescope prosthesis

Telescope crowns can be used instead of braces as a hold and support device. The holding teeth are at the same time protected against caries and loosening. The high quality crown offers a good wearing comfort.

Total protheses

They are either mucosa protected or implant protected. For patients without own teeth there is help with two options:

Implant prostheses.

  • 1. removable implant supported prosthesis
  • 2. non-removable tooth row
